David R. Severson
Originally born in Twin Falls, Idaho, I moved with my family to Colorado at the age of 6 and have lived along the Front Range ever since. As a Colorado resident, I attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and a minor in Asian Studies.
I am a firm believer in the respectful interchange of ideas across cultural barriers, which is partially why I started this blog. I hope this blog can serve as a way to communicate my thoughts without the barriers provided by Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn. My interests focus around psychology, neuroscience, public policy, literature, language, and philosophy.
When I'm not writing, you can find me reading whatever I can get my hands on, including science fiction, philosophy, social science books, and more. I am also a big proponent of audio, particularly podcasts and audio books, so you are likely to find me with earbuds unless I'm actively focusing on something. In the great outdoor state of Colorado, I also find myself hiking, running, and enjoying the mountains generally. I have traveled abroad to China and Japan, and hope to continue traveling internationally in the near future.
If you have any questions or would like to contact me, please feel free to email me or contact me through Facebook.
“I write in my notebook with the intention of stimulating good conversation, hoping that it will also be of use to some fellow traveler. But perhaps my notes are mere drunken chatter, the incoherent babbling of a dreamer. If so, read them as such.”
